Organization account information: organization name, business contact details, role of the registering individual, logos, promotional materials, and any verification information you provide. Communications: information you provide when contacting support, submitting feedback, or responding to surveys. Payment information (if applicable): for paid services or featured placements, payment details may be collected and processed by a third-party payment processor; we do not store full payment card numbers.
3.2. Information We Collect Automatically
Usage data: pages and topics visited, articles read, content viewed or interacted with, features used, and time spent on the Platform. Device and technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, app version, language settings, and approximate location derived from IP address. Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 6.

Organizations may provide information about individuals they invite or manage; those Organizations are responsible for having a lawful basis to do so.

4.1. create and manage your account and enable community sign-up; 4.2. operate, maintain, and provide the Platform and its interactive and Community Features; 4.3. display, store, and distribute your user-generated content as you direct; 4.4. enable Organization (B2B) accounts, promotion, and featured-content placements; 4.5. personalize content and recommendations; 4.6. communicate with you about your account, updates, security, and (where permitted) marketing; 4.7. monitor, moderate, and enforce our Terms and protect the safety and integrity of the Platform; 4.8. analyze usage to improve and develop the Platform, including during the beta period; 4.9. detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and 4.10. comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.
5. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK Users)

8. Organization (B2B) Accounts
8.1. Organizations that register accounts may submit business information and promotional content, and may collect or view limited information about users who interact with their content (for example, followers or event attendees).
8.2. Where an Organization collects or processes personal information of other users through the Platform, that Organization acts as an independent controller and is responsible for complying with applicable data-protection laws and providing its own privacy notices where required.
8.3. We process Organization account information to provide B2B and promotional services, manage the relationship, and as otherwise described in this Policy.
9. Marketing and Promotional Communications
9.1. With your consent or as otherwise permitted by law, we may send you updates, newsletters, and promotional messages about the Platform and the space and sci-fi community.
9.2. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link or your account settings. We may still send you non-promotional service messages (such as security or account notices).
10. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share information:
10.1. With service providers who process data on our behalf (such as hosting, analytics, email delivery, and payment processing) under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

11. Data Retention
11.1. We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
11.2. When you delete content or your account, we will delete or anonymize associated personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law, exists in routine backups for a limited time, or relates to content already shared with others.
11.3. Beta note: during the beta period, data may be reset, migrated, or deleted as part of testing. Do not rely on the Platform as the sole store of any information you wish to keep.

12.1. We use industry-standard security measures to protect personal information and maintain the confidentiality of data. Passwords are securely hashed and stored, and we recommend choosing a strong, unique password.
